How to Set Up
Microsoft Outlook 2002
to Send and Receive Email |

Step 1:
- Open Microsoft Outlook.

Step 2:
- Open Microsoft Outlook
- From the Tools menu, choose E-Mail Accounts

Step 3:
- Select Add a new e-mail account
- Click the Next button

Step 4:
- Select POP3
- Click the Next button

Step 5:
- In the Your Name field, type your name.
- In the E-mail Address field, type your Island Email address
(e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
- In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, enter
pop.islandemail.com
- In the Outgoing mail server
(SMTP) field, enter
mail.islandemail.com
- In the User Name field, type your Island Email address (e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
- In the Password field, type your email password.

NOTE: Steps 6 - 9 below are for outgoing (SMTP)
servers that "Require Authentication" only.
An ISP that requires authentication is Earthlink.
Step 6:
- Click the More Settings button.

Step 7:
- Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Log on using.
- In the User Name field, type your Island Email address
(e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
- In the Password field, type your password.
- Check the box next to Remember password.
- Click the OK button.
