Avoid using the following:
- Content copied from another website.
Many sites contain hidden codes that are required for advertisements, videos or flash movies. If you have copied text from a web page, then pasted that text into a blog or forum, chances are some of this hidden code came along for the ride! Just because it's hidden doesn't mean it's fraudulent or bad code, but cross-server scripts which are entered into online forms are routinely blocked.
TIP:
Please cleanse the text by first pasting into a plain-text email, then re-copy and paste into the blog or forum software you're using. This technique will usually remove hidden code.
- iframes
Iframes, when submit via a blog or forum post, are routinely blocked, since they may contain contents from other sites, and can be updated long after a post has been approved.
TIP: Instead of submitting iframe code in a post, submit the iframe contents separately.
- <script> or <embed> tags - (Only YouTube embeds allowed.)
There are a number of ways to embed video into a blog or forum application. Most applications that support video have specific instructions on how to add video to a post. If you've copied the embed code from the source code of a website and tried pasting the <embed> tags into a blog or forum, it will be blocked. Please follow the guidelines for adding video to your specific application.
- Spammy Words
Excessive use of commonly-spammed pharmaceutical terms like viagra.
- Misspellings
Spelling errors that look like commonly-used hack attacks like "wget" and "iframe" will also be blocked. Other commonly-used words that are also used in programming may also fall into this category: curl, encode,
- Quote Marks
Excessive quote marks “, ”, and " may cause a blog or forum post to be blocked. If no other rules above apply and your post contains more than one or two quotes, try removing them and resubmitting.
- BLOCKED COUNTRY
The website may not be available in your area.
Unfortunately, internet crimes can be a serious threat to the
privacy and security of our users. In an effort to protect our users, our web host is blocking traffic from select international countries that generate excessive fraudulent activity.
