Go to Start and Control Panel

Make sure you are in classic view (Click the Link on the left)

Select Network Connections

Click on Create a new connection in the left hand pane

This should start the Network Connection wizard

Click the Next button

Select Connect to the network at my workplace and click Next

Select Virtual Private Network connection and click Next

Call your connection The Name of Your Company click Next

If you are asked, select Do not dial the initial connection. Click Next

Type the host name as (IP Address provided) click Next





From the final page, tick to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and
click Finish






To use VPN double click on the icon from the desktop.
You will be prompted for your username and your password

Click Properties





Select the Networking tab
Ensure that Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) is selected and click the properties button.







Click the Advanced button.

Uncheck the 'Use default gateway' checkbox under the General tab.






Click OK all the way back to the connect window

Enter your username and password and click the Connect button.
