Where we came from

Like the great tech giants that came before us - such as Apple, Google, and Hewlett-Packard - the story of Island Technologies begins at a folding table in a garage.

In a sort of bootstrapping process, Patrick Coffin started cold calling local businesses from his makeshift office in North Hollywood, California. One-by-one, Patrick convinced these clients-to-be that he offered much more than just technical support. By the time he made that first call in early 1999, he had already accrued decades of experience working in the budding IT industry.

Where we are now

Currently located in a quaint town called Granada Hills, California, Island Technologies now serves companies located throughout the nation. The State of Iowa, Alcohol Board Division; United Bags Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri; and the RPIA Group of Westfield, Indiana.

The attention garnered from these companies around the nation comes primarily as a result of Island Technologies' ability to develop robust data management systems.

A little timeline of Island

1999

Island Technologies opens for business out of Patrick's home office.

2000

Island moves out of the garage and into an office in North Hollywood.

2002

Bebe purchase's Island's proprietary automation software.

2005

Island begins assembling its first team of web developers.

2006

Island puts its web skills to the test, taking on its first large eCommerce project.

2013

Iowa State selects Island Technologies to build a custom B2B web portal.

2016

Island works with century-old United Bags to revitalize their entire process.

2019

20 years on, Island continues to help others get an advantage over the competition.
